In July of 2005 we spent a week on the Greek island of Zakynthos. Zakynthos does not have an abundance of sights which one absolutely must see so we could with good consciousness spend most time just relaxing. We did get our hands on a sailboat which allowed for a trip to some "swim through" caves on the southernmost tip of the island - these caves are only accessible from the sea. We also rented a car one day and drove around the island. The main event here was the excellent tavern we came across in the village of Kabio (Kampi). On the way back we bought honey from a small stall. Finally we went on a boat tour from Zakynthos town up to and around the Northern tip of the island to a secluded beach with a ship wreck. Having to make an attraction out of a ship wreck confirms that Zakynthos is short on attractions!
